Review of Snow Falling on Cedars (1999) by Chris A — 03 Jul 2007
A very beautiful, thoughtful and well crafted adaptation of an intriguing thriller, dealing with race, prejudice and betrayal in a small west coast fishing community shortly after the war. Striking cinematography and sharp edicting create a memorable backdrop to a story that whilst slow at times is fairly straightforward with few developments to keep you guessing.
