Review of Snow Falling on Cedars (1999) by Susan C — 05 Jan 2008
Wonderful love story, but much more than that. It covered a shameful time in U.S. History--the Japanese Interment Camps and an racially influenced trial. But the closing arguments of the defendant's lawyer were moving and relevant.
He tells the jury that every once in a while we are called upon to give the report card on the human race. They should decide how we are fairing up. Great film.
