Review of Snow Falling on Cedars (1999) by Lorena A — 24 Jun 2006
I love it on it's sutil sensibility. "Snow falling on cedars" as a beautiful metaphor: When they were younger, they made the cedars burn (even on winter). I love pain and the healing of it (that is always more painful), and this movie is all about that (besides the racial isues).
This is a work of art. The photography is... well, every take would be a picture framed on my wall.
