Review of Snow Day (2000) by Bryan K — 15 Apr 2009

There are some funny moments and some feel good stories in the film, but in all honesty this one falls way short of where it should be. Snow days are something we all revered, and the amount of source material that such a scenario should give to a comedy is limitless.

Instead, we see a lot of completely over the top scenarios (evil plow trucks, elaborate snow caves, snowmobile chases) that fail to even come close to evoking sentiment and memories of snow days past.

Not to mention that the film makes woeful underuse of Chevy Chase.
