Review of Snow Cake (2006) by Sv G — 18 Nov 2007
I know I've said it before but Alan Rickman is wonderful. He plays a man traveling to Winnipeg and along the way is involved in an accident where a young woman is killed. He meets her autistic mother beautifully played by Sigourney Weaver and the two help one another overcome their own personal struggles.
A dark theme, but never too sad despite the storyline that actually brings hope in it's message. A unique and lovely film.
