Review of Snow Cake (2006) by Jm A — 23 Dec 2007
I have always loved Alan Rickman (really, I grew up with this man -- Die Hard is a Christmas movie in my house), and seeing him play this character was a treat. I mean, he's always the terrorist, or mean professor -- here he gave a really awesome performance as - GASP - a normal human being.
Well, normal anti-social human being... Sigourney Weaver also did an outstanding job as a high functioning autistic person and the relationship between the two was fun to watch evolve. A touching (but not cheesy) film about a man coming to grips with a current tragedy and his past - and himself.
Very enjoyable. Alan Rickman is so awesome... :).
