Review of Snow Cake (2006) by Ian L — 05 Feb 2009
Indie style film but with major talent in the form of Rickman, Weaver and Moss. Sigourney Weaver outstanding as an autistic mother who is free of the tangled emotions of the characters that surround her.
Moody Canadian backdrops of snow avoid picture postcard images in favour of a real working landscape. Unusual and brave departure for the cast.
