Review of Snow Angels (2007) by John Q — 31 Mar 2008
Emotionally gripping and powerful. Kate beckinsale proves she is not just a pretty face, Sam Rockwell is as terrific as he always is. But Michael Angarano steels the film with his subtle, complex and moving performance as a kid coming to grips with things no one should have to go through.
This is David Gordon Green's best film since his first film George Washington! Although this film is very dark it is one of the most moving and powerful movies I have seen in a while. The film is depressing but that is the point, it shows us realistic, but shocking, reactions to a horrible tragidy.
