Review of Snow Angels (2007) by Larry T — 01 Apr 2008
Snow Angels shows that even indie movies can be trite. Beginning with the end of the story? Check. Adultery? Check. Coming of age story? Check. Random shots of empty spaces? Check. Small town tragedy? Check check check (don't worry - that's not a spoiler.
The film opens with the ominous sound of gunshots within in the first few minutes). The bright note in the film is the budding relationship between the sensitive Arthur (Michael Angarano) and the sassy Lila (Olivia Thirlby).
