Review of Snow Angels (2007) by James S — 06 Apr 2008
Typically offbeat David Gordon Green work, with outstanding acting, a lot of dark humor and some emotionally wrenching situations. The characters are sometimes very difficult to like, which keeps the film somewhat at a distance.
By the way, the plot synopsis provided above is inaccurate: The movie begins with the marching band playing Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer," so it is definitely not set in the 1970s.
