Review of Snow Angels (2007) by Amanda M — 23 Apr 2008
Beautifully tragic and captivating film. Sam Rockwell blew me away. Kate Beckinsale still annoys the crap out of me, but not as blatantly this time. Michael Angarano and Olivia Thirlby's romance is truly one the most pure and thoughtful teen romances I've seen on film in a while.
David Gordon Green's adept perception to details and character composition is almost incomparable. Amy Sedaris was a pleasant surprise and she wasn't overly satirical as had been expected. Overall, great film about how there are certain events in your life that will change you, but you have to embrace the change and see where it takes you.
