Review of Snow Angels (2007) by Jo P — 26 Apr 2008
David Gordon Green is transitioning away from his worship of Terrence Malick and I suppose that's growth...if you aren't a big Malick fan. I am interested to see where Green is taking his style, but I worry that with The Pineapple Express he's going to fall into homogeneity.
See this film after renting All the Real Girls and Netflixing George Washington.
Also, the film is not anachronistic. It takes place in the present day. DGG likes to place the artifacts of his youth in his present-day films and the result is a film that feels very late 70s/early 80s, but which has cel phones.
