Review of Snow Angels (2007) by Adrien C — 05 Jun 2008
The weakest of David Gordon Green's steadily growing filmography. I am a huge fan of Green's films and the performances were great, but something was missing from this film and I can't quite put my finger on it.
The weakest subplot was the marital conflict between Michael Angarano's father and mother. I didn't love Snow Angels and I didn't hate it. I do know that the producer's rights to the novel were running out, their first director choice dropped out to direct another film and they needed someone to quickly step in to make this film so they approached David Gordon Green.
