A heart-rending, sorrowful, tragic tale marked by grief and agony. It's about an adolescence coming of age story told parallel, sometimes interweaving, with that of his former babysitter's undesired relationship relating to her troubled and abusive ex-husband.
Acting is superb. Very slow paced. Plot takes time to unravel. Information is no given directly to the audience about characters and their pasts, it's accumulated throughout.
