Pretty much brilliant... uses four relationships at different stages to show the spectrum of life... the birth and perfection, the shattering of the perfection, the fall, and then death and tragedy. Also represents the basic outline for all stories... happiness, comedy, perfect beings at the top, then as you go farther and farther down things get darker and darker until you hit the bottom and tragedy slash death slash destruction slash yeah.
Really unbelievably acted, kate beckinsale, when did you get so good, jezus.
In short, half happiest movie ever and half most depressing movie ever. love it.
