Review of Snow Angels (2007) by Melissa L — 01 Aug 2009
Excellent film that shows how tragedy can show us the grim reality of life itself. The movie opens with an unusual flashback, and then it takes us into the life of very common but hurt characters (morally, physically and emotionally), at the same time we see a teen growing up and watching his family tearing apart.
It's about how growing up can be painful, how soma facts in life simply "happen" and you don't need to get a justification and about dealing with everything that makes you an adult and a human being.
Sam Rockwell aces this one but Kate Beckinsale steals the thunder, she's a very good actress and she should make more movies like this one. It's dark, sad, and painful, very painful.
