Review of Snow Angels (2007) by David S — 06 Jan 2010
I've yet to see a Sam Rockwell movie I haven't liked.
That said, the story and the acting in this film are powerful. It's a tearjerker, but believable and pulls on your heartstrings in much the same way that 2008's "Frozen River" was able to do.
Only complaint: if you're going to set a movie in the 1970s, use authentic cars and objects from the 1970s. It was clear this wasn't the case by all the cars driving around in the film which were clearly 2004-2008 models.
I realize Indie films have limited budgets -- unless your name is Sophia Coppola -- but seriously. Keep it real.
