Review of Snitch (2013) by Dann M — 11 Aug 2013

Inspired by a true story, Snitch is a compelling crime thriller. When his son is arrested for drugs, John Matthews arranges a deal with the DA to help make a high level drug bust in exchange for getting his son out of prison.

The cast is fairly strong, and includes Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Barry Pepper, and Susan Sarandon. However, there are some issues with the pacing, as the film takes a while to build up momentum.

And, the writing is kind of weak; particularly the character development. Still, the action sequences are intense and The Rock brings a lot of charisma. Despite some weak points, Snitch is a solid action film.
