Review of Snitch (2013) by Joe W — 20 Aug 2013
Great thriller. I like the fact that they're trying to make the public see how ridiculous mandatory drug sentencing for first time nonviolent drug offenders can be. Fantastic casting in this movie with a lot of great actors giving great performances.
They did a good job of reigning back The Rock in this one. Instead of being the bad ass action hero he is in most movies, they made him very believable as an everyday normal Joe (with the exception that he's a foot taller than everyone).
Some car chase scenes look like they were stolen from the A-Team. Even though you don't see much on Benjamin Bratt, his portrayal of a drug boss was a little cartoonish. The movie was suspenseful and had me at the edge of my seat at certain parts.
