Review of Snitch (2013) by Scott F — 18 Aug 2014
Terrible. The protagonist (The Rock) shows what a d*ckhead he is by becoming an informant for the feds. The writers are glorifying the actions of a rat, a chota, a b*tch, in this appropriately titled disgrace to film.
There is nothing heroic about helping the feds. The Rock believes that his son is treated unfairly by the system. In reality this doesn't justify becoming a CI. People get screwed by the law all the time, but to punish someone else for your own stupidity in getting yourself caught makes you a maggot.
Dwayne Johnson, who I've never held in very high regard, just lost a few points in my book for accepting this role.
