Review of Sneakers (1992) by Cameron P — 18 Jul 2007
A post-cold war romp through the hacker realm. Neither laden with technobabble nor technically sophisticated (the only special effect used to visualize net sites being broken into is an ANSI "descramble" animation), this film is nevertheless a good follow-on to WarGames.
Watch it if you want to see an intriguing theory of where old hotshot crackers of the 1960s and 1970s might have gone. Ben Kingsley and Robert Redford star in this 1992 flick that belongs in any aspiring cryptologist's collection, just for the speculative value.
