Review of Snakes on a Plane (2006) by Guido S — 18 Nov 2013
I am a fan of creature features, they are dumb, have terrible acting and dialogue, but somehow are enjoyable and fun. So Snakes on a Plane comes out and I'm excited to see it. Yet I didn't like it.
The main idea is good and workable within the genre: some biker comes across a murder and has to be escorted to safety by Samuel L. Jackson but the plane has been rigged with venomous snakes and pheromones sprayed onto the lais to attract the snakes.
My biggest problem is the film doesn't go full on crazy and dumb like it should. Instead it straddles the line between serious and camp but committing to neither. Should have gone full out camp and this would have been better.
