Review of Snake Eyes (1998) by David S — 14 Mar 2008
Incredibly stylish direction from De Palma yet the plot is fairly muddled despite utilizing interesting narrative techniques (such as the Rashoman-style flashbacks). Nicolas Cage is so over the top it's painful, but the supporting cast is solid (for the most part).
An interesting failure to be sure, I would still recommend this film to fans of Brian De Palma.
