"Smurfs: The Lost Village" is entertaining and beautifully animated. That being said the movie as a whole is just mediocre. Even for a movie of this type there are a few unanswered questions about the inhabitants of the lost village and why they were separated from the smurfs.
I am not saying I wanted a long and complex backstory, but it would have been nice to know some type of backstory. Like the previous two Smurfs movies, this one is not terrible, but it's not particularly memorable either.
