Review of Smurfs: The Lost Village (2017) by Sara J — 14 Apr 2017

"Smurfs : The Lost Village" is the story of the origins of Smurfette and her quest to find her place in Smurf Village. At one point, she encounters a mysterious presence near the Forbidden Forest who she believes is a smurf from another village, so she and some friends go on a quest into the Forbidden Forest to find them.

The evil wizard Gargamel is also on their tail. This film is watchable but overly simplistic. The plot is not fleshed out that well, and the characters are not that well defined. The animation is captivating, but the plot development is stagnated and there are too many cliched plot devices for the film to be a standout film ------------------------------------------------------ C+.
