I've always believed that to truly review a film you first have to put it in it's own genre and then give it a shot...ya know, know what you're getting into before you take the big dive. Smokin' Aces has to be one of greatest collection of thugs, pugs, mugs & dog & pony shows ever put on celluloid.
It's one wild ride to see who can get to Buddy Israel first and get his heart!!! Buddy is a Vegas entertainer par excellent, but Buddy has made some mistakes along the way and his ties to the Mafia is catching up to him big time.
The bounty is a cool mil and every low life from 3000 miles away is looking to catch the big prize. The films finale is one of the craziest shootouts you'll ever witness. With an all star cast: Jeremy Piven, Ben Afleck, Alicia Keys, Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta, Jason Bateman, Peter Berg (the new Captain Kirk) and many more Smokin' Aces delivers exactly what it should plus a whole lot more! lots of laughs and surprises along the way Smokin' Aces is a Royal Flush in my book.
