Review of Smokin' Aces (2006) by Greg C — 09 Mar 2010

I loved it. While certainly not of the same calibre as a Ritchie or a Tarantino, Smoking Aces does capture what neither director ever really has, the emotional toll of violence. The film itself plays out like a hybrid of Crash and Oceans Eleven (minus the humor).

If you enjoyed either of those films and don't detest the action movie that is far more drama than twisted comedy then you like myself should thorougly enjoy Smoking Aces.
