Review of Smokin' Aces (2006) by Adriano B — 22 Aug 2010

Ok, so I just found in January '10 the sequel to this movie came out direct to DVD and was considered even worse than the first. I thought putting Liotta, Reynolds, Garcia, Alicia Keys, & common would make it THE true blockbuster movie of '07.

.. Unfortunately it tries too hard, the acting is ok.. It's 85% talking, 15% action. If you're going to make a movie called "smokin' aces" I would assume that's what it would refer to instead of being so presumptous into 4 characters just basically plotting out the story with talking throughout the whole movie.

The plot is "catch & mouse" basically... Reynolds in the final scene just cuts off the primary characters of the storyline he was chasing and The End. But on another hand, I would watch it again just for kicks.
