Review of Smoke Signals (1998) by Tektasinhelek — 30 May 2008
While in the true sense of the word this movie isn't a classic, in my eyes it means a lot to me since I myself am Native American and I understand the seperation of my world from the typical "white world".
Also the storyline that dealt with the loss of a father who was practicly never there was very much like my own life so I identify so highly with that. It was like Sherman Alexie (the writer) knew exactly where I had been.
