Review of Smiley (2012) by Napoli M — 14 Oct 2012
I enjoyed this. It filled the big-screen well. The writing, acting, cinematography and post-production fit together seamlessly. Some aspects of the film are minimalist by choice. Horror films don't always need chainsaws and busted doors and furniture blowing across the room to be effective.
While some critics dismiss the absence of these elements as "low-budget," I didn't miss them.
