The kids who are always on Memebase are the jocks? I can stretch reality for a slasher who appears behind you if you type something on Skype, but socially awkward guys using meme quotes and being hackers are the cool guys...really? And the female lead knows nothing about the internets.
Also, loud noise jump scares are everywhere.
