Review of Smiles of a Summer Night (1955) by Irvin C — 09 Nov 2007
This film served as the basis for the Stephen Sondheim musical "A Little Night Music". It is simply a delightfully breezy comedy about love and infidelity amongst a group of high-class Swedes during the turn of the century.
Light and funny but still managed to be distinctly Bergman. Great performances by a fine ensemble of actors.
