Review of Smelchak (1919) by Nigel R — 23 Feb 2013

My friends might get angry at me for this...but I liked this film and think it's one of the better superhero films out there. Did "Daredevil" suffer from being a little too over the top? Yes.

I feel that Ben Affleck did a good job of portraying Matt Murdock, Jennifer Garner did okay as Elektra, and Michael Clarke Duncan played an intimidating Kingpin. Have stronger superhero films emerged recently? Yes.

Have they been better than Daredevil? I'd say that most of them have been, but Daredevil still holds up for me and it's still one of my favourite superhero films.
