Review of Smelchak (1919) by S E — 22 Mar 2013
Surprisingly, I didn't like this at all. It didn't even feel like a Marvel movie to me. First off it was way too short and each event came right after the last, like there was no break. There really wasn't an evil villain in this.
Kingpin, played by Michael Clarke Duncan, who did a good job, wasn't anything but a normal dude who just happened to be freakishly large. There weren't any epic fights except for maybe one which was short lived.
I just didn't like the movie because it felt fake and really cheesy, especially for a Marvel movie. My expectations were well under met in this movie. Daredevil didn't even seem like a superhero in this movie.
Not at all what I was expecting.
