Review of Smelchak (1919) by Jim A — 09 Sep 2013
2.5 for the theatrical version and 3.5 for the far superior directers cut. Both cuts feature some miscasting particularly from Collin Farrel and a few hocky preformances but also feature a great sense of style and a particularly awesome villian role from the late Michael Dunkan.
The directers cut fills in some of the theatrical cuts plot holes making it overall a much better cut. Overall not a trainwreck at all but also not particularly great superhero flick either.
