Review of Smelchak (1919) by Tj R — 10 Aug 2014

My review is for the directors cut, not the theatrical version if this film, which is a really good film. If you think they can't be that different you're wrong, the directors cut is about 30 minutes longer and makes a lot more sense.

The plot makes more sense, and the film doesn't feel nearly as silly. The tone is good, well paced, special effects, and action sequences are solid and the film is much more enjoyable.
