Review of Smashed (2012) by Joshua C — 05 Mar 2013
It's easy to make an indie drama about a struggling couple, their crumbling relationship, and all the drama that surrounds them along the way, but it's not so easy to make a good one. Well, fortunately, Smashed, buoyed by strong performances by both Mary Elizabeth Winstead (from Final Destination 4 and Die Hard franchise) and Aaron Paul (from AMC's Breaking Bad), turns out to be a pretty decent and effective one.
I love a well-made movie that deals with self-reflection, emotional and personal growth/maturation, so this was definitely my kind of movie.
