Smashed is something along the lines of a fresh take on a familiar story, except that the story is rarely seen and this time around, performances strongly carry a decent story.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead practically gives the movie life, her performance, along with a fine director gives it an emotional edge we rarely see in reality based stories, the comedic moments are perfectly shared as well.
