Review of Smart People (2008) by Jennifer K — 02 Jan 2009

I really enjoyed this movie. It hit home for me in a way most movies never do. I love the feel of the movie, too. Everything from the direction, and the cinematography, to the make-up and the dialog, feel like a Hopper painting.

That feeling faded about 2/3 of the way through, but it coincided with a change in pacing; leading me to think that was a concious decision. While it was an interesting one, it didn't quite ring true.
