Review of Smart People (2008) by Luke E — 05 Mar 2010

This was a film that had more promise but fell a little short. This is a very character driven movie. It stars Dennis Quaid, Sara Jessica Parker, Ellen Page and Thomas Haden Church. I found each of the charcters enjoyable at times and other times not so.

Quaid, Page and Church were my favorites of the four characters. The movie has a dark humour about life, friendship, family, love and trying to fit into society. The story was a bit jumpy at times. You were always wondering where they were going with it.

The ending also was not what I expected. Overall though this movie has some strong performances. And there are many enjoyable moments watching this. If your a fan of any of the main actors in it then give it a watch.
