Review of Smart People (2008) by Aaron B — 20 Nov 2010
Exactly the sort of quirky indie flick I expected it to be. Everyone in it is convincing and it ticks along nicely with plenty of laughs. Even SJP manages not to be too irritating which is an achievement in itself.
The characters are all well-rounded and believeable and they even manage to avoid the usual 'quirky indie flick' clichà (C)s without being too obvious about it. Nothing brilliant here, but it's a smart (sorry) little dysfunctional family comedy.
