Review of Small Soldiers (1998) by Robert B — 13 Apr 2018
Small Soldiers has decent performances, physical and voice, decent action sequences, special effects that hold up surprisingly well and some funny moments but it's undermined by how the story rips off both Toy Story and director Joe Dante's own Gremlins.
It's nothing exceptional but the PG-13 rating results in an inconsistent target audience. Fun but forgettable and leaves a lot to be desired.
