Review of Small Soldiers (1998) by Dr. F P — 16 Jul 2013

Oh jeez, I haven't seen this in a long time but i've also seen it so many times if that makes any sense!? It's nearly ALWAYS on TV. I always felt a bit so-so about Small Soldiers, the whole concept is pretty fun and some scenes are so nuts that I kind of love those little psycho toys even though they equally scare the crap out of me.

I can't help but think of Child's Play & Toy Story (sort of). I didn't really like the kids that much in this, and overall things get tiresome and aren't too funny at all. I think perhaps because i'm not really into military things it wasn't too engaging, perhaps if it was a variety of psychopathic toys it would be cool, like barbie etc.

Perhaps a bit like the ones under the bed in the first Toy Story. THAT's scary but I suppose it's not the point considering this IS called Small Soldiers. Well, what about Toy Box of Horrors? Hmm.
