I was lucky enough to see this at a sneak preview one night some time after Trainspotting had hit. I expected something like Trainspotting coz that's what the advertising had been about "best film since.
.. etc etc". It's nothing at all like Trainspotting - just in case you were wondering - It's an excellent film in its own right and I can recall cringing when Malky Johnson comes THIS CLOSE to taking Lex's head off as he cycles away.
Great coming of age story, easily overlooked.
