Writer/director Tamara Jenkins' debut isn't all that impressive when compared to her latest film, the darkly funny The Savages. Often it tries a bit too hard to get laughs and is only mildy amusing at best - which is somewhat disappointing given the great ensemble assembled here.
Sure I liked it, but I'll never need to revisit it.
