Review of Slumdog Millionaire (2008) by Katie M — 30 Dec 2012
Sad, humorous and interesting, this impressive film had a lot of potential.
Since lots of horrible things have happened and still happen on a daily basis to poor people in India, its perhaps important that movies are made of it and the misery of the poor people brought to public awareness with films like these. t surprised me how well everyone in the film spoke english, I don't think I heard any hindi accent.
This film shows how violence can be shown without showing too much of it, which makes it watchable for almost anyone. Well filmed and shot movie. A bit too long film in my opinion, but not bad because of it. In the midst of the plight of poor people, it also showed a sense of humour.
