Before I had seen Slumdog Millionaire, I had never seen an Indian film. I woud never have been interested. But I'm glad this was my first. Slumdog Millionaire is a touching love story that is set against such a spralling and extensive background of culture differences, that it would be a flop for most anything else.
But Slumdog Millionaire pushes through and features powerful performances while being an innovative look at coincidence and fate that makes Slumdog Millionaire the 21st century Casablanca.
