Review of Slumdog Millionaire (2008) by Matthew A — 25 May 2013
4 Stars, a beatuful film that makes you love movies. This beautiful intense drama will have you cheering as you are wiping away your tears at the end. The film tells that story of an 18 year old boy from Mumbai named Jamal Malik (Dev Patel), who goes on India's version of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire to, reach out to his long time sweetheart Latika (The Beautiful Frieda Pinto).
The film is told in a series of flashbacks that tells how Jamal knows the answers to the questions, when everyoner else thinks he has cheated. This film is the definition of Cinema. Danny Boyle (Director), Simon Beaufoy (Screenwriter), and Cinematographer (Anthony Dod Mantle) have crafted a brilliant intense drama, that you will never forget.
My only question is WHY didn't Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto get Oscar nomnations?
