Review of Slumdog Millionaire (2008) by Hollyc — 04 Jan 2009
Very good film---loved the beginning more than the end as I thought the young actors/early slumdog scenes were almost perfect--absolutely captivating. The story seemed to unfold predictably and edged on cheesy towards the end, but it still moved me so I guess that says something.
Yes, it's very contrived in many parts, but really, it's a solid film worthy of theater prices and/or rental.
