Slumdog Millionaire is a drama/romance film directed by Danny Boyle (who produced 127 hours).

The film came out in 2008 and based on the novel Q & A by Vikas Swarup.

It tells the story of Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) an orphan from the slums of Mumbai who is at the last question of the TV game "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" at 20 million rupees. But he is arrested for cheating because the police thinks that a tea server can't know all the answers. During the interrogation, Jamal tries to explain that he didn't cheat (but knew all the answers) and he tells the story of his life...

For me this film doesn't have negative points all is perfect, the plot is suspenseful because it's only at the end of the film that we discover if Jamal wins or not the TV game and if he retrieves Latika. The film is very realistic and reflect perfectly the Slumdog life. It's an emotionally strong film. The two main actors Jamal (Dev Patel) and Latika (Freida Pinto) who are lovers, are very touching and play extremely well. And my favourite moment is when Jamal uses the lifeline "call a friend" and Latika runs and finally picks up the phone, this scene is suspenseful because we don't know if Latika will have the time for pick up. the film learns us that no matter what you are or what you have, your destiny can switch anytime.

I obviously give 5 stars for this film. I definitely recommend this film to everybody, nothing disappointed me.
